Finally talked Mr. Beanz (Fred) into doing this ride up highway 39 to Crystal Lake. Was a little bit cool when we started at the West Fork, but we warmed up soon enough. The ride up was steep enough to make us break a sweat and keep us warm in the January temps, but was by no meand too warm. As steep and tiring as the ride was, we got to the cutoff sooner than expected. After taking pictures to prove we made that ride, we started on the fun part of the trip, the downhill ride. Fred stopped at numerous places on the way down and got some shots of me with his video camera. All in all, a fun day on a great ride.
